Capability gateway
Our capability is the combined route from structural requirement to yarn architecture, machine configuration, physical preform and programme-specific validation.
Primary process platforms
The status labels distinguish developed systems from work that remains in development.
Developed X–Y–Z multilayer machinery for thick sections, blocks and integrated T/L/profile preforms.
02Developed and supplied machine direction for circular, cylindrical, conical, ring and dome-type architectures.
03Laboratory and continuous-web systems for technical fibres, carbon felts, insulation structures and shaped 2.5D preforms.
04X at 0°, Y at +60°, W at −60° and Z through thickness for four-direction structural architectures.
05X at 0°, Y at 90°, W at +45°, V at −45° and Z through thickness.
06Geometry-led machine development for forming reinforcement closer to the intended component shape.
Needle felting as a major capability
Needle felting is not a secondary footnote to weaving. It is a distinct platform for consolidating layered fibre webs through thickness, developing thick carbon or technical-fibre felts and forming non-flat preforms.
Potential programmes include thermal insulation, furnace and high-temperature textile systems, carbon–carbon precursor felts and ablative-material preforms. Final insulation or ablative performance depends on fibre type, density, impregnation or matrix route, heat treatment, geometry and the relevant thermal/erosion test programme.
