Frequently asked questions

Clear boundaries around machines, preforms, applications and evidence.

These answers help technical visitors understand what Kale Texnique develops and what still belongs to downstream composite processing and qualification.

What does Kale Texnique supply?

The company develops special-purpose textile machinery and structural textile preforms. Machine scope may include orthogonal, polar, needle-felting and project-specific platforms. Supply status and specifications are confirmed for each project.

Does Kale Texnique manufacture finished composite components?

The website primarily presents machinery and dry textile-preform development. Resin infusion, densification, curing, machining, inspection and component qualification may belong to the customer or a project partner unless specifically agreed.

What is the difference between 2.5D and 3D here?

2.5D needled structures use layered fibre webs linked by discontinuous through-thickness fibre entanglement. 3D orthogonal weaving uses deliberately placed X, Y and continuous or architecture-defined Z yarn systems.

What does Kale Texnique mean by 4D?

The developed four-direction system uses X at 0°, Y at +60°, W at −60° and Z through thickness. It is a directional architecture definition, not a claim about four spatial dimensions.

What does Kale Texnique mean by 5D?

The in-development five-direction system uses X at 0°, Y at 90°, W at +45°, V at −45° and Z through thickness.

Can needle-felted preforms be used for insulation or ablative materials?

They can be developed as precursor architectures for such programmes. Final insulation or ablative performance depends on fibre, density, matrix or densification route, processing, geometry and the applicable thermal and erosion tests.

Are the aerospace and defence applications certified?

No blanket certification is claimed. Application pages describe target development domains. Programme-specific testing and approval are required.

What should we share in a first enquiry?

Share a non-confidential geometry class, approximate size, fibre or material family, current process challenge and whether you need a machine, preform or joint development route.

Can we send confidential drawings through the website?

No. Do not send classified, export-controlled or customer-confidential information through a public form. Begin with a non-confidential brief and agree the appropriate confidentiality process first.

What does a “physical preform” status prove?

It proves that the textile form exists. It does not automatically prove cured-composite strength, fatigue, impact, thermal, RF, pressure or flight performance.
